The BBC reports about an alleged change of mind and politics in Germany. After two lost WWs, German politicians have, with a trick, arranged for a massive increase in government debt to allow for a huge increase in military spending. Germany’s justification is Putin.
But what does it mean if Germany, that started and lost two WWs, is now building a powerful army, calls it citizens to obligatory military service and also eyes nuclear arms?
History is put aside. Germany has forgotten the horror which it brought just 80 years ago to Russia. Germany killed 60 million Russians and now is prepared to kill some more? The last of all countries should be Germany to build up an army against Russia, to send weapons to Ukraine and to expand NATO to Russia’s borders.
On the other hand, the German people in its majority, has nothing to do with the new German militarism, has not voted for the increase in military spending and will not approve it. The danger from Russia is not received as a sentiment in Germany. Why should Russia attack Germany after all?
