BBC: Trump envoy dismisses Starmer plan for Ukraine

The BBC reports about an interview which Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s Ukraine negotiator gave to Tucker Carlson. With regard to PM Starmer’s project to send troops to Ukraine with a Coalition of the Willing (comprising European and other states’ soldiers), he said “the idea was based on a “simplistic” notion of the UK prime minister and other European leaders thinking “we have all got to be like Winston Churchill”.

Witkoff dismissed the idea to send troops to Ukraine bluntly and did not stop to raise the souvenir of Winston Churchill. But Witkoff forgot to mention that it was Churchill’s suggestion to re-arm the Germans after WWII to march against the Soviet Union. Or did Witkoff omit this historic fact on purpose as to not being caught saying that there shall not be a re-arming of Ukraine to march with the Europeans against Russia?

As well, Witkoff made clear that the Russians has the cards on hands: the BBC criticizes Witkoff for repeating Russian talking points but must now understand that the reality of the situation is different than in the imaginary world of Starmer and some European leaders. Nevertheless, with Russian help and Europe’s ferocious war propaganda, Europe managed to raise billions and trillions of debt, money which the slowly rottening continent urgently needs.
