The idea to lift the constitutional debt ceiling to obtain 3 budget deviations from the Constitution has been sunk by the Greens. This was an idea of the Socialists SPD and Conservatives CDU who are contemplating a new coalition following the recent election but would still a 2/3 majority to change the Constitution which needs today the votes of the Greens. The Greens are only till 25 March available to bring the 2/3 majority (all parties lost, except the extreme left and right), after this date the newly elected parliament will come together with different majoroties: a post-25 March change of the Constitution will need the votes of the extreme-Left/Communists or the extreme-right AfD. The idea of the huge debt increase was criticized as voter fraud as the main candidate for Chancellor was elected with his promise not to increase the constitutional debt ceiling. The majority of the public and media call it fraud and treason – the decision to was taken 4 days after the elections, but evidently was planned before the elections. Yes, if so, this would be voter fraud.
