The Russian delegations, and armies of journalists and other observers were waiting all day – for Ukrainians. They did not show up for their appointment with the Russians to make peace.
Was it Selensky who instructed them to stay away? Was it Selensky’s European advisors? For sure, the US Administration and Donald Trump insisted on the scheduled meeting.
But instead, Selensky was meeting President Erdogan in Ankara and thereafter, Selensky was showing himself to the media, for declarations and interviews, just while he was not sure if he was going to Istanbul or not.
And finally, he told his followers in Ankara that he was not going to be in Istanbul. It took him a day to say that … and not peace talks happened while the Russian delegation was waiting and is still waiting.
As discussed since almost 3 years: Selensky prohibited negotiations with Russia, by presidential decree. So, still not sure if tomorrow, Friday, there will be some Ukrainians and if they are willing to violate Ukrainian law, a presidential decree.
Selensky’s show today made his people his people suffer one day more, under Biden’s War, under a US proxy war which turned European proxy war.
The Russian delegation is at place, they want to take up negotiations at the point when Ukrainians left in 2022. The head of the Russian delegation is the same, but he has certainly now demands which go further after 3 years of War.
