As reported, next Monday, 24 February, the EU will decide about new military aid packages to Ukraine. This may be the EUR 700 billion as babbled by Ms Baerbock, or another immediate package of EUR 6-20 billion, as reported from various sources. All this is kept pretty secret before the important German election this Sunday knowing that voters would not approve such huge expenses. But Hungary opposes to new military aid, saying to prefer peace and not further war escalation. Of course, the war activists from the Greens shout against Hungary and accuse of “following the Russian agenda”. It should not only be the Russian agenda to stop killing in a war which the Russians have basically won. Do Greens and other leftist Europeans really want the total disintegration and collapse of Ukraine with costs and suffering to follow for all Europe? Or do Greens a nuclear confrontation with NATO? Better make peace now and invest into your own armies instead of relying on corrupt, internally disputed, authoritarian and failing Ukraine.
