CNN reports on open conflicts between a subordinated US Federal agency, USAID, and the Trump Team, in particular, with Elon Musk who heads DOGE, a newly created agency for cost control and spending cuts.
USAID officers refused to allow DOGE to control their files. Prior and in return, a great number of USAID officers were fired or sent into the desert by Trump.
It is no secret that DOGE supported the Obama/Biden era’s ideological foreign policies, by investing countless billions into foreign countries, such as Ukraine and many others. Many of these ideological projects do not align with Trump’s policies and are about to be cancelled. The fierce opposition from USAID was probably expected.
CNN, defending its ideological “good purpose”, calls USAID as one of the pilars of US foreign policy: this is about to change and the flow of billions will stop.
