CNN fantasies about ‘The real strategy behind Russia’s sudden truce’ –

Nothing is easier than to stop shooting, stop pulling the trigger, not to fire missiles, not to fly drones. Presdient Putin ordered Russia’s troops to stop. Putin does not request Selensky to do the same.

And it can be understood from his latest X message that Selensky will not follow Putin’s unilateral Easter ceasefire.

CNN with some awful creativity tries to explain why Ukraine shall not follow Russia’s Easter ceasefire.

CNN writes: “it will be a logistical nightmare for Ukraine‘s forces to suddenly, immediately stop fighting at Putin’s behest. Some front line positions may be in the middle of fierce clashes when this order comes through, and a cessation of this nature likely requires days of preparation and readiness.” CNN gives its readers already the answer why Ukraine cannot follow the Easter ceasefire – and reminds that the 2023 Christmas ceasfire proposed by Putin was also refused by Ukraine “as a strategic pause for military purpose”. In 2023, Ukraine was in an offensive and did not want to stop. But today, Ukraine is in a losing defensive … a truce, even for a day, would be a relief.

CNN dismisses the Russian unilateral Easter ceasfire as a “nod to Trump”, as a PR stunt to tell Trump and the World that Ukraine does not want peace. And CNN already predicts that Trump will positively point to Russia’s willingness to stop the war, to stop the killing.

Without sense and with bad faith, CNN concludes: “Ultimately, this brief, likely theoretical, probably rhetorical and entirely unilateral stop to a three-year war, is likely to do more damage to the role of diplomacy in the coming months than it does to support it.”

CNN’s writer lives in another reality, and blinded by arrogance and hate does not see, feel or care for the suffering of the civilians and soldiers, Ukrainians and Russians … and dismisses the unilateral, unconditional Russian Easter ceasefire ordered by Putin as “damagable”. How can Russia’s unilateral kill-stop be damagable?

CNN is pushing and celebrating Biden’s War as before, until the last Ukrainian, and cannot accept President Trump’s peace efforts. CNN must accept that it’s time for peace after Biden’s War gamble is lost.
