CNN: For Vladimir Putin, Russia’s position in the world is personal. Here’s what he really wants. … and CNN disqualifies itself again with nonsense analysis.

CNN tries to analyze President Putin. While this has been done many times before, CNN makes, this time again, a fool of itself. It is a pure weekend propaganda piece, but also targeted against Donald Trump.
CNN says: “What Putin really wants, though, is much, much bigger.”. It is easily understandable what Putin wants for his country. It is simple: Project Ukraine shall never happen again. That’s what Putin wants is the “root cause to be eliminated”. Putin wants the US and its allies to commit to never again use a border state of Russia (like Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus) as proxy, not to send weapons, biolabs and intel centers etc. to such state and not to try to destabilize Russia aggressively with the help of such a border state. Finally, Putin wants no further NATO eastward expansion.
Simple, isn’t it?
Project Ukraine was all about that: to change the Russia-friendly regime in Ukraine, to send weapons and intel officers, to suppress the Russian minority, to take over Russian strategic positions on Crimea, to destabilize Russia, to break up Russia and to squeeze Russia with economic sanctions.
How can CNN think of a personal or psychological disposition of Putin? What has his KGB past to do with his political decisions to defend Russia’s basic interests? And the basic interests are about keeping buffer states around Russia, a neutral, demilitarized zone not to be under NATO control. Do not seek in Putin’s past to understand that today he is the most rational and calculating politician on Earth. He is not like a Johnson, Macron, Starmer or Obama/Biden … luckily he is not, because if he was like those hysterical actors, the World would have been destroyed in a nuclear war.
