V Selensky is trying to get a say in the negotiations for peace in Ukraine. At the same time he orders his troops into a counter-offensive in Kursk and resistance all over the front line. All Ukrainian counter-offensives in Kursk collapses, the Russians advancing carefully. Same in other regions of Eastern Ukraine. Russia has no interest to talk to Selensky. President Putin aims to talk with Donald Trump, eventually at a meeting alone in Saudi Arabia. Does Trump have an interest to involve Selensky? Only to avoid messy situations, such as Ukrainian terror attacks on Russia (which were recently signaled by Russia’s FSB). Trump’s interest is to de-escalate: he might have to include an Ukrainian leader in the negotiation process, if it is Selensky or another constitutionally empowered Ukrainian politician. The predictions in the news are that Selensky will be replaced shortly.
