In a long article, CNN is criticizing Donald Trump for his approach to peace in Ukraine. Since President Biden never made any advance to find peace other than the plan of beating Russia on the battlefield, Trump’s move is new and promises to end a war that is destroying Ukraine and killing hundreds of thousands of soldiers. CNN, besides criticizing Trump, has no solution to the conflict other than Biden’s. If Biden, or CNN, were to decide, an escalation of the conflict would be certain. CNN attacks on Trump’s peace efforts must also be seen as an internal political confrontation, CNN always representing the Democrats who generously arranged for payments to CNN. As the new US Foreign Secretary Marco Rubio said, the upcoming negotiations in Riyadh are only a first step. In this early stage it would be harmful to allow a large number of European negotiators to participate. As the Biden Administration acted as overlord of Ukraine, Selensky must accept that at this stage of negotiation he has no role other than usual: a US proxy. Those European governments, the EU and NATO officials who willingly followed Biden (and Obama) into the Ukrainian conflict must also willingly follow a long needed turn-around. Peace must be reached now. The Biden Project Ukraine has failed. Negotiators must accept the failure if they want peace. A price is paid by everyone.
