James Comey, the former FBI Director who ordered the RussiaGate investigation against Trump, posted on Instagram a photo of seashells arranged to read “86 47,” which could be interpreted as a threat against the 47th president: “Kill 47”.
In his book and elsewhere, Comey claimed that the sole origin of the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation of Trump’s first presidential campaign, Crossfire Hurricane, was based on a report “from an allied ambassador” of an encounter in London between a Trump adviser and “a Russian agent”, the famous Joseph Mifsud.
This is not true as Comey investigated Trump in the alleged RussiaGate already before, but the encounter with Joseph Mifsud was used to give the investigstion a fake formal ground of opening. Joseph Mifsud was styled a Russian spy, which he was not, a fake known to all, and this was used to attack Trump and his campaign with formally opening the huge spy action against Trump and his teams.
Just Joseph Mifsud was not a Russian spy. He was embedded in Western intelligence, has worked for the US and others. At the time of the outbreak of RussiaGate, he was training Western spies. He then was forced to hide and disappear, threatened by Western politicians and intel officers, so not to disturb the developing fake RussiaGate. Mifsud stayed in contact with the FBI for long thereafter – and was paid.
This was the faking of RussiaGate by Comey – or at least he knew perfectly that Joseph Mifsud was not a Russian spy, but one of theirs.
Comey’s characterization of George Papadopoulos’ meeting with Joseph Mifsud, an officially pan-European academic but otherwise a senior Western intel operative with Western government connections at the highest levels, was the official ground zero of RussiaGate. Papadopoulos was already on the radar of the Western intelligence when he was appointed Trump’s advisor. The fake story was that Mifsud told the then-Trump aide Papadpoulos that Russians had “dirt” on Hillary Clinton. Mifsud always (directly to the FBI and to the media) denied it. But who cared?
Such a fake secondhand and denied rumor should never be allowed to justify the opening of a counterintelligence investigation of any American, much less a presidential candidate. This off-handed conversation between Mifsud and Papadopoulos, which was arranged by Western spies (they introduced Mifsud to Papadpoulos, in an intel op), initiated a counterintelligence case that disrupted Trump’s first term as president and has effects till today. Trump was encircled by the fake RussiaGate, he himself was threatened.
It was an attack on a sitting President with a set-up, a lie and a fake. Worse even to hide and threaten Joseph Mifsud to stay low and not talk – which was clearly a crime, too. Mifsud was afraid for his life.
