Die Welt: Europe has seen the abyss of its own powerlessness

Die Welt concludes that Europe is unimportant and just an element between the super-powers.
Europe, after WWII did not arm itself but relied on the US for its protection. Europe liked it more to spend money for welfare, in its own countries and abroad, neglecting defense. As a result, Europe cannot show relevant armies and has only a reduced armament industry.
Defense specialists are of the opinion that Europe could contribute only 20’000 soldiers to a peacekeeping force in Ukraine, while V Selensky demanded 200’000.
The US Administration under Donald Trump declared that Europe is no more a priority for the US. What Donald Trump could have said: none of the European governments is friendly to him, some like Germany, have Green/left extreme governments opposing to and attacking Trump since a decade, some other European governments were even implicated in political actions against Trump. All over, Trump understands that most of the European governments still side with the past thinking and ideology of the Obama/Biden era which Trump is now dismantling. Obama/Biden decades have imposed on Europe mass immigration, woke and other ideologies, in a controlled and paid media environment, brainwashing citizens and installing governments at Obama/Biden pleasure. These Obama/Biden loyalists governments will face today a problematic outlook with the new Trump era. At least, these Europeans now see their powerlessness and understand it’s time for change, back to former democratic and human values of freedom lost under Obama/Biden and their cornies. Vance and Trump want the change to happen in Germany and understand that in order to oust the Greens/Leftists it will need a transition by including the far-right party AfD.
