Die Welt, a conservative German news outlet, describes the voters’ dilemma. In particular, conservative voters who do not want a continuation of Green/Left radical politics are confronted with a tough choice. The current polls show that only two coalition options are available: CDU, SPD and Greens – or – CDU and AfD (the right-wing, or extreme right party) So far, CDU has clearly stated not to form a coalition with the AfD. Depending on the election results and further irrational and unacceptable claims of SPD and Greens, a coalition of CDU and AfD is still a possibility. Otherwise, new elections may be necessary … with delays harmful for Germany. Now, should conservative voters push for a coalition of CDU and AfD by giving their votes to the AfD. The question is: do conservative voters want the same Green/Leftists involved in the German government, those who are responsible for the current German disaster – or do they want a change, at least for the next 4 years? After years of Green/Left radical politics it is still a tough question if allowing for an unknown CDU/AfD coalition is a way forward or a way into even further terrible disputes, conflicts and extremism on right and left sides.
