US President Donald Trump told journalists that he would not increase sanctions against Russia “because there is a chance” for progress. This refers to the possibility of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine and a potential peace between the countries.
He told this after Monday’s 2h phone call with President Putin.
The path to peace is now: Ukraien and Russia will meet again to discuss the conditions of a ceasefire and eventually peace. The meeting could be held in the Vatican. Trump seems likely to be a Moderator, even though the US is the driving force behind Ukraine.
It seems that some European leaders are considering to become the driving force behind Ukraine and to try to win the war against Russia- even though all and every military specialist explains that this may not be possible but will lead to a reciprocal destruction in a nuclear WWIII.
