EU ministers to meet to consider response to Donald Trump’s tariffs – The Guardian

EU ministers will meet to discuss a response to the new US tariffs.

It is President Macron of France who again seems to be the most combattant while Italy, Spain keep calm. As well the UK keeps calm. So does Switzerland.

Remind that the US only introduced a fixed tariff of 20% on EU goods, while the EU already is taxing US goods with tariffs of up to 30%. It may be difficult to justify why the EU should increase its already higher tariffs on US goods.
