EuroNews: Europe quietly works on plan to send troops to Ukraine for post-war security

Various reports say that some European countries are preparing the sending of troops to Ukraine. The message is that the troops shall be peacekeepers after a ceasefire with Russia.
Britain and France are leading the efforts.
On the other side, Italy and Germany have constitutional limits and their parliaments would not have a majority for sending troops to Ukraine.
Considering the maximum available number of troops for Ukraine, confidential sources counted 40’000. This contingent number would be far away from the 200’000 requested by V Selensky and probably an insufficient security guarantee. As well, it is unclear how far the tropps can be moved.
Most recently, the US sent a short questionnaire to European NATO allies asking about the precise number of soldiers available for a peacekeeping force from every NATO ally. This US request has already provoked negative reactions in European capitals – as the outcome may be that European NATO partners, inconsistent with their public speech, may not be able or willing to provide any relevant number of soldiers for peacekeeping in Ukraine.
In addition: Russia already declared that any unauthorized peacekeepers will be targets for the Russians. As consequence, the European marching order for peace will right away turn into a marching order for war against Russia. Russia will not allow NATO troops on Ukrainian territory as much as Russia opposes to Ukraine’s membership in NATO. Any such move, even the secret preparation therefore is a step closer to a huge military confrontation.
