The Trump Administration has imposed general tariffs on all imports from Mexico and Canada (25 %, 10 %). Trump justifies this measure with Mexico’s, Canada’s refusal to cooperate in migration matters, drug traffic suppression. Mexico and Canada will retaliate.
No doubt, these measures will have an inflationary impact and will reduce consumption and spending levels, with worldwide consequences.
But also will “made in USA” be positively impacted?
