“Putin is ready” and waiting for a signal from the US. This message from the Kremlin today is the strongest sign of Russian willingness to meet and make a deal to end the war in Ukraine. It may be now up to the US to make a suggestion when and where to meet: but knowing the immense work of Trump in his early days as President, the terrible confrontations with his opposition, the desaster in California and the many other huge problems left by the Biden administration, Ukraine may be an urgent matter for Trump, but not the only one. So, it seems normal that the Kremlin still waits for a sign from the US – while the terrible war continues, Russia advances, soldiers are killed … and Western arms are shipped to Ukraine.
