Donald Trump and Elon Musk call Free Le Pen … in an attack on the French Government.
While it is an internal matter of France to conduct its political process, it is not the first time that a US Government is stepping up to influence French politics – and vice-versa. Such influences have a long historic tradition.
Now, Donald Trump compares the prosecution of Marine Le Pen a far right politician to his own legal challenges in the US, with many procedures instigated by the Obama/Biden Administrations. Trump call the facts for which Le Pen has been condemned and stripped off her political eligibility as a “bookkeeping error of which she may ne knew anything”.
Nevertheless, a French Judge has spoken, but Le Pen can and will the decision.
The only matter which is awkward and smells political is that the first instance’s judgement is assorted with the punishment of a provisory immediate execution of inelligibility at elections, so destroying Le Pen’s political career – this without a final judgement. Le Pen may not present herself to the next presidential elections for which she was until today the candidate with best chances ton win.
