Germany’s Secret Service Agency for Constitutional Protection declares AfD unconstitutional – a first Step to prohibit Germany’s currently strongest Party

Interesting news from Germany.

The German AfD has been declared as unconstitutional for being an extreme right party, by a Federal Agency for the protection of the Constitution … by a kind of internal political secret service.

This Agency exists quasi since the Foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany, its existence was justified by the post-WWII still existing NAZI structures in Germany. It became important in the 60s and 70s when extreme leftist groups acted sometimes with terror and murder.

AfD is not known to act with terror or murder and there are no NAZI left-overs in Germany. The AfD may include neo-NAZI elements but since long has seemingly purged itself from such extreme right elements. Still the Federal Agency considers the AfD as extreme right and anti-constitutional and declares it as a proven fact.

The strong accusation against the AfD is a result of the AfD’s position to be extremely opposed to immigration and foreigners. AfD is accused to be enemy of German nationals with immigration background.

While neo-NAZIs shall be a target and shall be politically eradicated as threat to the Constitution, there may be a conflict araising with the US Administration which is currently battling mass immigration and foreign illegals and criminals in the US. Overall, it seems that the AfD is not as far away from the policies of the Trump Administration and therefore, there may be a risk of another US Intervention in German politics, knowing that US politicians have spoken positively about AfD.

Nevertheless, it is a question of internal law of Germany and no other country or foreign power shall influence the internal legal and political process.
