On Saturday, after several exchanges of drones and missiles between Iran and Israel, Israel hit Iran’s largest gas field, the South Pars Gas Field which is said to be burning, and some oil assets and infrastructure.
Israel has therefore retaliated on Iran’s core assets, its energy wealth, which is exported worldwide, in particular, to China.
It seems that Israel now intends to damage Iran’s oil and gas exports. This will have a direct economic impact on China, the largest purchaser of Iran’s oil and gas.
If Iran’s export capabilities will be damaged, it is more likely that Iran will close the Straits of Hormuz, stopping 30% of the World’s oil flows and creating economic chaos and a nightmare of a World economic crisis, probably to worst the World ever has experienced.
