‘It’s a lot’ — Trump on Putin’s proposed 3-day truce over Victory Day

“As you know, President Putin just announced a three-day ceasefire, which doesn’t sound like much, but it’s a lot, if you know where we started from,” Donald Trump told journalists in the Oval Office.

Trump mentioned that a 3 days truce will save the lives of many people.

Trump is supporting the ceasefire and clearly contradicts the statements of V Selensky who said that the Russian Victory Day ceasefire proposal is poisonous and that President Putin only wants a ceasefire to protect his victory parade. In addition, Selensky threatened to attack Moscow during the parade.

V Selensky is stepping on thin ice if he decides to attack the Moscow parade on 9 May. This will trigger, as already explained by the Kremlin, a devastating response.

Further, it seems that Ukraine is provoking Russia by sending every day drones to Moscow, already disturbing the preparation for the parade and the arrivals of high international dignitaries and heads of states. Moscow’s airports had to be closed.

At the same time, Ukraine is exercising small provocative attacks on Russian territory.

All these actions seem to be provocative and only good for publicity during the 80th anniversary and commemorative ceremonies for the victory over Germany and, yes, over masses of Ukrainians that joined SS and Wehrmacht to fight Russia during WWII.

It seems further that Kiev tries to provoke an escalation by Russia, in particular, with the current attacks on civil targets in Moscow.
