Justice Department Investigating Possible Misconduct by Mueller’s RussiaGate Probe Lawyer re. George Papadopoulos and Joseph Mifsud

The NY Sun reports that the DoJ has started an investigation into the RussiaGate probe of one of Special Counsel Mueller’s team members: Aaron Zelinsky. The DoJ has doubts about the “integrity and legality” of Zelinsky’s investigation which was ultimately directed against Donald Trump.

Zelinsky produced a memo for the sentencing of George Papadopoulos who confessed having lied to the FBI. A lie to the FBI is a federal crime and prosecuted if made to obstruct or mislead an investigation.

Zelensky’s memo claimed that George Papadopoulos lied to the FBI about Joseph Mifsud in a fashion that hindered the arrest of Mifsud when he was for a short visit to Washington in 2017. This memo made the lie important to be prosecuted.

It seems that the Papadopoulos – Mifsud matter has become a new investigation target by the DoJ.  Therefore, the latest Trump ordered RussiaGate disclosure did not produce new documents about Mifsud at all: it’s clearly an ongoing investigation and therefore, documents must remain secret.

The interest of this investigation could be about Joseph Mifsud. What did the FBI or other agencies of the US know about Mifsud? Did they know that Mifsud was deeply involved in Western intelligence and for which country(ies)? How could they pretend that Mifsud was a Russian agent or asset which he was not? If the US Government knew that Mifsud was a Wester intelligence player and knew that he was not a Russian agent/asset then there was no reason to arrest Mifsud and no ground to prosecute Papadopoulos for an admitted lie which had no influence at all on the RussiaGate investigation. Or did they need to fake a case to justify the opening of the RussiaGate investigation?

The question is of immense importance as Mifsud is the ground zero of RussiaGate, he is the FBI’s justification of the opening of the FBI investigation against Trump.
