The vote of the Assemblee Nationale is purely symbolic, it is not a law, but a call to the EU to proceed to the confiscation of Russian assets in favor of Ukraine. This measure is highly disputed in Europe, for questions of international law and financial stability. The resolution passed only because of the abstention of the right-wing Front National but against the votes of the far left.
