It is reported that PM Starmer proposes to send 10’000 soldiers to Ukraine, mainly from the UK and France. This number is much smaller than the 300’000 requested by V Selensky, and still smaller as the 30’000 Starmer proposed recently to Donald Trump. Now it’s 10’000. Arms and equipment are unknown. If the 10’000 contingent will deploy long range missiles, it will be a serious threat for Russia. If also nuclear war heads will be deployed, the threat for Russia may be unbearable. As per today, Russia opposes to any kind of NATO troops deployment in Ukraine, and considers it a declaration of war. It does not seem that Donald Trump is considering the deployment of NATO troops in the peace negotiations with Russia. It is unknown if he tolerates this as it may be hindering his peace talks. As well, 10’000 troops may not be a real deterrence.
