The meeting in Paris, tomorrow, will assemble 30 nations, the Coalition of the Willing.
They will discuss the future help to Ukraine in the war against Russia.
They will prepare the deployment of the “Reassurance Force” to which the Coalition of the Willing is invited. This Force shall be deployed as soon as a ceasefire is agreed with Russia and will fight on the side of Ukraine if the ceasefire is broken.
It seems that the initiative, which is headed by President Macron and PM Starmer, is not in line with the US peace initiative. Russia will not allow NATO troops on Ukrainian ground and the US will not extend NATO art. 5 guarantee if the Europeans will send troops to Ukraine. This French and UK initiative may lead to a major conflict with Russia in Europe. Historically, this has proven to be a mistake.
