LeMonde: Ukraine retreats from Kursk under US Pressure. Extreme losses.

While Russian media declare victory over the Ukrainian Kursk combatants, LeFigaro points the finger to Donald Trump, quasi accusing him being reaponsible for the loss of Kursk and the necessity of retreat.
There have been a lot of claims the last days by Ukraine and Russia, but it is a fact that the Ukrainian troops in Kursk are encircled and have lost almost the entirety of the earlier occupied territory. The Ukrainian Kursk invasion turned out to be a fiasco with huge losses of life and material, reminding the WWII battle 1943 of Kursk, not in size and losses, but in strategic importance.
Russia claims that Ukrainian losses in Kursk were 67’000 casualties (whereas the German Wehrmacht lost in Operation Citadel in Kursk 54’000 men, but in retreating from Kursk, Germany lost additionally 111’000 men).
Now, in view of the modern Kursk disaster, LeMonde accuses the US side and suggests even that Trump demanded a retreat from Kursk as a condition of the US-Ukrainian agreement on a ceasefire.
