Macron suggests Geneva as venue for Putin-Selensky meeting, Switzerland guarantees ‘immunity’ for Putin – not a recommended venue

President Macron suggested Geneva as venue for a meeting between President Putin and V Selensky. In response, Switzerland would guarantee Putin ‘immunity’, which would be a breach of the ICC Rome statue which demands the extradition of Putin for prosecution in front of the International Court of Justice.

A meeting in Geneva should be absolutely avoided, it is a no go for the Russian side.

Putin may meet Selensky in other countries, such as the UAE, China/HongKong, or he can invite Donald Trump and Selensky to Moscow or St Peterburg or any other adequate Russian city.

It seems that the choice of venues is rather limited – which shows that the conflict in Ukraine, indeed, has already become a kind of World War. Time to end Biden’s war, time to end Project Ukraine. And maybe, President Macron, with all due respect, should step aside in the Ukraine matter.
