MoscowTimes: U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio: US is engaged in a “proxy” war with Russia in Ukraine

The exiled and opposition newspaper MoscowTimes is one of the very few media reporting about the statement and admission of Marco Rubio, the US Foreign Secretary, made on FoxNews.
“U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Wednesday that the United States is engaged in a “proxy” war with Russia in Ukraine, marking a rare public acknowledgment by a Western official following a major shift in U.S. policy toward Ukraine.”

“President [Donald] Trump views this as a protracted, stalemated conflict, and frankly, it’s a proxy war between nuclear powers: the United States, helping Ukraine, and Russia,” Rubio told Fox News.

“Rubio criticized Ukraine’s allies for what he described as a flawed approach to military assistance. “Their plan is to give [Ukraine] as much as they need for as long as it takes. That’s not a strategy,” said Rubio”

These words of the US’ highest diplomat contradict all expressions and talks of European leaders, in particular, at this very moment when the EU is trying to convince its People to pay much more to help to fight Russia. It is very difficult to hold up this EU argument of a Russian threat when the US admits that the former Biden Administration fought a proxy war against Russia, with the support of their European allies and that this has to stop now.
Rubio with one sentence destroyed all justification for the war financing efforts of Europe admitting the reality of facts.
