The DoJ has fired some FBI agents, mainly those implicated in the Jan 6 and other Trump investigations. Now, the highest FBI officer refuses to cooperate, seemingly pushing back over formalities.
The matter is delicate as Kash Patel, Trump’s candidate for FBI director, did not yet get his Senate approval … as the process has been prolonged over the weekend.
Ultimately, the fired FBI agents will need to go. But at what political costs?
