Opinion: NewVoice Ukraine: Council opens talks with Europe over replacement for USAID aid

Alone USAID paid over USD 30 billions in budget support to Ukraine’s government since 2022. The US officially paid to Ukraine, since 2022, in total USD 175 billions (incl. military aid).
A part of this colossal support will be missing after President Trump froze all civil aid to Ukraine.
Now, Ukraine asks the EU to pay what’s missing. The EU has paid and committed EUR 174 billions since 2022 (military and civil aid) and promised a 2025 loan part of further EUR 20 billions with the G7 states (total 50 billions).
