Besides all critical accusations against Russia, The Guardian had to admit with the voice of General Sirsky, Ukraine’s army chief:
“It’s a good thing, at least, that there were no air raid sirens.”
Otherwise, Ukraine and Russia accuse each other of continuing military activities on the frontline.
The fact that Russia observed its unilateral truce in the air is proven and confirmed by the Ukrainian top commander. It is much more difficult to prove that Russia keeps its unilateral ceasefire on the frontline, in particular, in view of ongoing Ukrainian attacks. It is, therefore, impossible for Russia not to act or defend itself on the ground if Ukrainian soldiers use the moment of the unilateral truce to attack.
As always, the first casualty of war is the truth. Somewhere in between the truth may be found – except if agreed to as in the case of General Sirsky’s statement that there were, indeed, no Russia air attacks on Ukraine.
For the first time, Biden’s War is to a great part halted and it’s a great relief for the Ukrainian population. It is damning for The Guardian when their war mongering writers claim that the unilateral Russian Easter truce was only a PR gag. No, it is a real relief from Biden’s War.
