NYT: Standoff at Ukrainian Procurement Agency Threatens to Disrupt Weapons Supply: an Insight into the Shady Weapons Supply to Ukraine

There ia a new wind in Washington: Ukrainian aid suspended, scrutiny of past and present procurement. Result: in-fight in Ukraine about what`s left.
The NYT, a bit late, reports about the real procurement structures of US military aid to Ukraine. We learn, on the side-line of the NYT article that till 2023 procurement was done up to 81% through Ukrainian “shady arms dealers who were inflating prices”. The NYT times cites a Ukrainian official saying that the trade through intermediaries was reduced to 12% in 2024 (a reduction certainly impossible to verify but leaving still hundreds of millions of US/European taxpayers’ money as trading comission with Ukrainian intermediaries).
