NYT: Trump Officials Pause Programs to Let In Immigrants, Including Ukrainians

Mainly for ideological purposes, President Obama allowed mass immigration to the US from distressed countries with full right to abode, to work. This special immigration status was given to over 500’000 immigrants, from Haiti, Venezuela, Nicaragua. President Biden extended this special status to 150’000 immigrants from Ukraine.
This immigration program is now stopped on the order of Donald Trump.
