The Guardian reports that “Barak Obama has broken his silence on calls from President Trump for him to be prosecuted by unequivocally rejecting his successor’s accusations that he tried to engineer a “coup” following Trump’s 2016 election victory by “manufacturing” evidence of Russian interference.”
Obama defends himself saying: “Nothing in the document issued last week (the latest DNI report showing the faking of intelligence) undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes”.
Obama, for his defense, continued: “These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio.”
Obama’s defense is baseless, helpless and against true facts and contradicting the real assessments of his own intelligence community IC when he was president: in 2016, his IC concluded that Russia did not, did not intend and had no means to influence or meddled in the 2016 elections. This is proven by documents.
It is proven by documents that Obama knew it.
It is also proven by documents that Obama changed and instructed to change this assessment of his IC towards saying that it is a “widely accepted conclusion that Russia did influence the election”. Which is not true and a lie. Obama instructed to change the available intelligence towards a lie and prepared faked intelligence and faked intelligence reports to distribute them largely, to influence opinion, to influence decision makers, to influence law enforcement agencies, to stage a coup against Trump.
Even worse: Obama used the lies during his last days as president to launch sanctions against Russia, a war-like dangerous escalation.
It is the faking of the intelligence reports, and at the same time keeping secret and classified the real and true intelligence reports, of which Obama is accused of in the first instance.
It is therefore, not helpful that Obama tries to defend himself referring to then Senator Marco Rubio, today the US Foreign Secretary. Rubio’s statement of 2020 and his “bi-partisan report” were based on false and faked intelligence provided by the Government to him, while the true reports and intelligence about the non-existing Russian meddling were kept classified and were not given to Rubio in 2020. Rubio was kept in the dark about the non-existing Russian meddling and was induced into error by the false and faked intelligence reports from Obama: which were with great pleasure included by the Democrats into that “bi-partisan report” of 2020.
Marco Rubio’s message to this report of 2020 reads, therefore, as follows:
“We can say, without any hesitation, that the Committee found absolutely no evidence that then-candidate Donald Trump or his campaign colluded with the Russian government to meddle in the 2016 election.
“What the Committee did find however is very troubling. We found irrefutable evidence of Russian meddling. And we discovered deeply troubling actions taken by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, particularly their acceptance and willingness to rely on the ‘Steele Dossier’ without verifying its methodology or sourcing.
Yes, Marco Rubio stated in 2020 (wrongly) that the Senate Committee did find evidence of Russian meddling … yes, Marco Rubio was lied to, tricked and presented with faked intelligence about the non-existing Russian meddling. Rubio had no access to the truth.
But also Rubio clearly stated that the Steele Dossier, which in fact was used by Obama to launch the faking campaign, to accuse the Russians of meddling and Trump of colluding with Russia, was total rubbish, and that Trump did for sure not collude with Russia.
Obama cannot do otherwise than accept that the 2016 intelligence community confirmed that there was no Russian meddling in the 2016 election. It will be difficult for Obama to defend the accusation of him changing the truth to a lie. We will continue to see how Obama will further react, and maybe Obama, to save himself, will be forced to “admit” that he was lied to … by the bosses of the CIA and FBI, Brennan and Comey … and therefore, changed the truth.
Of course, Obama’s last resort of defense is presidential immunity …
