German Defense Minister Pistorius at today’s meeting in Brussels, explained what help to Ukraine is being offered by Germany – including “more than €11bn” in aid until 2029, in addition to money already pledged.
Pistoriis said “Given Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine, we must concede peace in Ukraine appears to be out of reach in the immediate future”.
Pistorius continued “Russia needs to understand that Ukraine is able to go on fighting”, “we will support it. Ukraine can count on us.”
Germany has increased its constitutional debt ceiling to raise huge debts. These debts will be spent largely on military expenses, including Ukraine. Germany has now enough funds available through credits to spend on the war against Russia. And so says Pistorius we will support Ukraine fighting till … till when? Till final victory?
And those debts will have to be reimbursed … by younger German generations who really do not want to go to war for Ukraine.
