Just as the first meeting of US and Russian officials ended, talking peace, establishing normalization in relations … and lifting sanctions, the EU is about to enact another sanction package against Russia. EUNews reports: “Negotiations on the text are closed; now member states must accept or reject it,” European sources confirm. The diplomatic bodies of the 27 will address the item as early as tomorrow, but the green light is scheduled for Friday, February 21.” The EU still has time to stop the new sanction and withhold escalation.
