Politico: Hungary backs down in EU Russia sanctions standoff

According to POLITICO, Hungary has now agreed to prolong the EU’s sanctions against Russia for 6 months.
Prime Minister Orban would not oppose to such prolongation in light of US President Trump threatening Russia with further sanctions if no ceasefire is agreed regarding Ukraine. Nevertheless, Orban obtained EU support in his country’s energy struggle.
Considering the past week’s events, Orban was not able to stand alone against EU sanctions.
But will Trump lift Biden’s sanctions against Hungary, Hungarian politicians, which Biden imposed in his last days of reign?
