President Putin was the first to comment today’s phone call with President Trump.
The Telegraph writes:”
Russia and Ukraine are “generally on the right track” to ending the war, Vladimir Putin said after a two-hour phone call with Donald Trump.
The Russian president described the phone call as “informative” and “helpful”, and said he would work with Kyiv on a memorandum for future peace talks.
A ceasefire with Ukraine is possible once they have reached those agreements, Putin added, but said they must reach a compromise that suits both sides.”
Donald Trump has not yet commented the phone call.
Nevertheless, it appears that besides being informative and helpful, the call did not produce a tangible result, like a ceasefire or an understanding on conditions for ceasefire or peace.
