French President Emmanuel Macron invited European leaders, inclusive UK PM Starmer to an urgency meeting in Paris. This invitation follows the events of the last 2 days. Donald Trump started discussions with Vladimir Putin about Ukraine and a fast settlement. European leaders will not participate in the negotiations between Trump and Putin, also not V Selensky. Europeans have been alerted of the possible consequences that may result from an agreement in which they are not part of. The US is retreating from Ukraine and Europe is facing costs and risks. In particular, Europe fears the Ukrainian collapse and needs to prepare for multiple threats, inclusive mass migration. European politician have declared to be willing to support Ukraine, not only in the armed conflict with Russia, but also with measures after a ceasefire. European leaders have suggested to send peacekeeping troops, while the US will not send troops to Ukraine.
