RussiaGate’s Vincenzo Scotti sentenced in Italy to 5 1/2 years prison

Vincenzo Scotti, a former Italian minister, politician, mayor of Naples, a former master of Italy’s spies, a go-to criminal for US politicians,  intelligence services and law enforcement agencies, has been sentenced to 5 1/2 years in prison by the Court of Florence. He is now a confirmed criminal.

Scotti was respected and feared in Italy for over 40 years, he had many enemies but also loyal subjects. He was certainly powerful, always deeply involved with intelligence agencies, running his own private intelligence contractor and had his hands in many affaires and businesses  He could help in Italy, he could be of good service, with all his connections and insider knowledge but he could also destroy and damage.

In his last big political stunt, he arranged that the outsider party Cinque Stelle was able to form a coalition to govern Italy in 2017. He brought his own people into the Government.

It is also said that he was involved in the ouster of Silvio Berlusconi, Italy’s flamboyant prime minister, and in the forced resignation of the late German Pope Benedict, each time fulfilling orders from the Obama Administration.

During his term as Interior Minister, Scotti was involved with the Mafia. He tried to make peace with the Mafia. As well, he helped the US FBI to go against the US Mafia and was well respected by Bob Mueller, then the Director of the FBI who became Special Counsel in the RussiaGate investigation against Donald Trump.

Scotti is now sentenced for fraud and falsification related to a personal case on the sideline of the private university LINK Campus which he founded in Rome. He misused LINK and committed fraud and falsification.

But this personal case is not the only criminal procedure currently targeting Scotti. His private intelligence contracting company, a group that also misused LINK and where RussiaGate’s central figure Joseph Mifsud is a partner, is investigated on a much larger scale: financial fraud, tax fraud, etc. Scotti is charged with that crime.  Scotti’s assets have been seized to an amount of EUR 3 Mio, the total crime amount is alleged to be over EUR 20 Mio. This financial and tax fraud case will hit Scotti even harder.

Scotti, in the past was a very controversial figure, regularly accused of crimes, in particular, of financial crimes. He embezzled funds with the sale of an overpriced palazzo to the State and then had to reimburse the State with EURO 2.9 Mio. He was lucky not to be sentenced for that crime – the prosecutors were late and the statute of limitations saved him. Scotti was also accused of embezzlement during the World Cup ’90 and in some other matters. Usually he was somehow saved.

Scotti’s intelligence firm has been accused of diverting EU funds destined to Libya’s insurgents’ disarmament who, after the money did not arrive, attacked the US Benghazi compound in 2012 and killed the US ambassador.

The matter which may be of most international importance is Scotti’s implication in the Faking of RussiaGate. Scotti was the employer and longterm patron of Joseph Mifsud, the Ground Zero of RussiaGate. Scotti arranged the meeting between Mifsud and the young Trump advisor George Papadopulos. Papadopouls came with a bunch of Western spies to LINK where he was connected to Mifsud with the task to contact Russians. This was a spy-op which Scotti orchestrated and which the Obama FBI used as starting point for the RussiaGate Scandal, the Obama operation which became a coup against President Trump.

As soon as the Mifsud-Papadopoulos operation started to become a worldwide scandal in 2017, Scotti was instructed to hide Mifsud in Italy in a safe house related to LINK. He also provided Mifsud with a LINK flat in Rome and it is unquestionable that Scotti was hiding Mifsud further in Italy 2017-2018. Hiding Mifsud helped to push the Fake RussiaGate narrative, Mifsud was hidden, prohibited to speak, threatened. Mifsud accuses Scotti to have hidden and threatened him on behalf of the Italian Secret Service which in turn was requested by the Obama CIA/FBI.

Scotti expected that he will be remunerated generously. Firstly, the Brennan boys, the Obaid brothers (1MDB scandal) financed LINK and CNN made a big story out of LINK/Obaids.

Secondly, suddenly NATO and the security arm of the EU paid considerable research fees to LINK, just after the disappearance of Joseph Mifsud. For what? There was no relevant research team at LINK, except Scotti’s private intelligence group which was not really academic.

Scotti was a man who made lots of enemies, he destroyed and damaged the lives of others. Now in his 90s, Scotti may have no friends left. The sentencing from the Florence Court may not be a surprise to him, but rather the certain reminder from the past that even “padrinos”, which he was not, may face justice once fallen out of favor.
