Selensky says he wants to see an agreement on security guarantees before meeting Vladimir Putin

V Selensky again torpedoes peace. He demands security guarantees first, before he is willing for talks about peace with President Putin. This may not only delay a peace agreement but may make it unnecessary as Ukraine’s collapse is reportedly imminent.

Selensky demands more details on security guarantees he will get within the next 7 to 10 days. Does it also refer to his personal security and pension plan?

The Guardian reports that the US are offering only minimal security guarantees but that a group of allies led by Britain and France are putting together a military coalition to send troops to Ukraine. But the Kremlin already said that it will not accept NATO troops in Ukraine. Therefore, it seems to be excluded that France or Britain will have boots on the ground  … anyway, neither France nor Britain would send troops without US protection.

The continued demand for security guarantees, reached like religion, is generally useless. The best security guarantee for Ukraine is that Ukraine is not a security risk for Russia and the Russian population on Cromea and in the Donbass. This mainly will be achieved with no NATO-membership and no offensive army and weapons. But European leaders want to provide Ukraine NATO Treaty art. 5 equivalent security guarantees and arm Ukraine to the teeth, with NATO troops deployed in Ukraine. Even a blind man can see that this will be a huge security risk for Russia, and that under the most likely situation of provocations by one or the other side, it is expected that this will, without a doubt, lead to a direct confrontation of NATO and Russia.

NATO and the Europeans must therefore, consider the inherent risk of the Ukrainian revenge sentiment. Not only towards Russia, but also towards the NATO and European countries which did not sufficiently support and pay Ukraine to win the war against Russia.
