Ukraine, the ink on the US-Russia Black Sea Agreement has not yet dried, adds a new condition to said Ceasefire Agreement: Russia shall not be allowed to sail beyond the Eastern Black Sea Waters. Ukraine would consider any Russian vessel transpassing a violation of the Black Sea Agreement and claim its right for self-defence – means to shoot at any such vessel in the western waters of the Black Sea.
It is a new scandal in the saga of Ukraine refusing submission to ceasefire deals negotiated by its proxy master, the US. It looks distinctively as an attempt to torpedo the the ongoing US efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
Not only this additional condition does not figure in the official text of the new ceasefire agreement, but it is also a highly vague condition, where the area of the Eastern Black Sea is not defined or cannot be defined. This condition is highly likely to be refused by Russia – and the deal can break – or this condition needs clearer definition and, of course, acceptance by Russia.
