Out of context, as usual, the leftist Guardian repeats a statement of Donald Trump to suggest something wrong. In a discussion with journalists on live TV, Trump answered a question about Russia’s bombings in Ukraine with a short statememt: “that’s what anybody would do”. The context is that Trump said that “Russia has all the cards” … meaning Russia is winning the war. Trump wants to make peace now, even if it means that Russia was successful in Ukraine. Russia can decide and impose its conditions and the US will not spend more war efforts to oppose Russia over Ukraine as the Obama/Biden Project Ukraine failed and cannot continue with a powerful Russia on the other side. Europe still is hoping that the Ukrainian army, with European aid alone, will stop or even defeat Russia in a continuation of Project Ukraine. Realism vs hope.
