The Guardian: Trump says Zelenskyy set to visit White House on Friday to sign minerals deal

The Guardian reports Donald Trump saying:
“I hear that he’s coming on Friday,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “Certainly it’s OK with me if he’d like to. And he would like to sign it together with me. And I understand that’s a big deal, very big deal.”
So, the deal on rare earths and minerals will be signed between V Selensky and Donald Trump. It is a “hot air” deal, hard to enforce after peace is made with Russia. Deals in Ukraine are different things. It’s all about money and the incentive will be great for some new Ukrainian leaders in the future to leave the US and Western orbit – as Selensky went under it before – all for the money. It remains a deal without assured assets, unproven deposits where the best treasures are already gone. It’s an Ukrainian deal.
