President Trump declared that he understands Russia not willing to have NATO at their doorstep. By this statement, President Trump undermines and demolishes the foundations of the NATO East Expansion and basically the reason for Ukraine’s and NATO’s war with Russia.
The sole reaction of the outgoing President Biden – from today in power only for 10 more days, is to rapidly send more money and more weapons to Ukraine, to further escalate the war and to make sure that Ukraine is able to fight till Trump’s inauguration. With an effective intention to blame Trump for the soon to come collapse of the Ukrainian army and the Ukrainian government and state – so that Trump can be blamed to be responsible for the failed state of Ukraine.
President Trump and his team are of the opinion that the NATO East Expansion is unnecessarily provoking Russia. Pope Francis said the same already in May 2022.
The Guardian, in his reporting, omits these very important facts and information: if NATO had followed the request and warning of Pope Francis, the war may have been halted by then. The Guardian should make it as an important guiding statement: NATO East Expansion is provoking Russia and every reasonable, independent and non-biased reporter should understand the danger of war out of this policy.
Yes, souvereign nations should be able to decide their future for themselves – and Ukraine may contemplate to become a member of NATO. But NATO shall not provoke Russia by opening its doors to Ukraine unless NATO intends to go to war with Russia.
The Guardian, again, fortified its stance on and support of provoking a war with Russia, in a continuous line with its reporting and commenting of the Ukraine war.
