Donald Trump has found the real reason and culprit for the war in Ukraine: Trump blames Kiev for their eagerness to join NATO and therefore, he blames also his predecessors Obama/Biden for pushing NATO’s eastward expansion. What Trump at other occasions speaks out is his blame of some European leaders who also pushed for NATO’s eastward expansion and are to blame for the war as well.
In a latest interview, Trump said he ‘thinks’ that Selensky is ready to give up Crimea, a cornerstone of Trump’s Peace Deal to be signed by both parties, Russia and Ukraine.
But neither Kiev nor Selensky have said that they would agree with abandoning Crimea. Less even those other territories which are occupied and claimed by Russia.
Europe has supported Kiev and Selensky in their opposition to Trump’s peace plan, lately with the words of German Defense Minister Pistorius who said that Trump’s Peace Deal equals a capitulation, that it is too far reaching and shall not be accepted by Selensky.
As one can understand from the report of “hopeful” BBC, Trump seems to be mistaken when he ‘thinks’ that the Crimea Deal is done. Neither the Europeans nor the UK are in favor of abandoning Crimea to Russian sovereignty. Even less the other four territories.
