Trump calls German Chancellor Merz – re. Trump-Putin meeting next week

The German Chancellor Merz received a phone call from Donald Trump. Hopefully, Merz also considers this good news.

Trump, after a positive meeting today between his Special Envoy Wittkoff and President Putin, will meet Putin next week.

No details have been communicated. The Kremlin did not respond.

Trump also called Selensky about the outcome of the meeting Wittkoff-Putin in an earlier phone call.

It seems that Trump is preparing the fruitful negotiations with Russia, and expects that the US allies in Europe stay put and quiet. It is now the moment that the “big boys” decide, that Trump and Putin come to an agreement and that no small European leader intervenes or disturbs the peace process as earlier this year.

The US and Russia have sufficiently made their reciprocal nuclear shows and it is expected that these demonstrations were sufficient to explain to the last European war addict in politics and press the risks of a nuclear conflict and its consequences. If so, the show was a success.
