The Independent reports that when asked why the US-led negotiations had not yet resolved the Ukraine conflict Donald Trump responded: “Selensky”. He added that Putin “is ready to make a deal” while “Ukraine is less ready to make a deal”.
The Independent complains that the comment of Trump “is in sharp contrast with European allies who have proven Putin as the key figure ramping up military aggression and rejecting peace proposals from Trump’s envoys”. Trump thinks differently: and in particular, since Europeans have promised EUR 90 billion to the corrupt Selensky regime, of course, the corrupt Kiev elites will continue to fight, for Europeans and for their money, and will do so till the next ransom is payable. In this perspective, Trump is absolutely right that Selensky is the obstacle to peace.
