Donald Trump has made a better offer to Kiev. For a speedy signature of the Minerals Deal, he will reduce US compensation demands from USD 300 billion to USD 100 billion.
This may be the limit and a ‘take it, or leave it’ situation.
The Minerals Deal is Trump’s assurance that the US will be, at least partly, reimbursed for the costs of Biden’s War in Ukraine. The Deal may also give Ukraine some assurances that when the US has valuable assets in Ukraine, there will not be an attack of Russia. It may also assure the US that Urkaine will not provoke Russia and put US assets at risk.
